Our competition weeks offer you the opportunity to holiday whilst enjoying friendly
golf competitions with our other guests. All of the courses are pre-booked to ensure
the very best guaranteed tee times.
Our flexible friendly competitions can be tailor-made for corporate, societies,
individuals and small or large groups.
The ALGARVE SELECT Golf Co-ordinator will welcome you at our cocktail party and
be on hand throughout the week to make sure everything runs smoothly.
SAMPLE WEEK
On Monday...
The first day's golf is an Individual Stableford competition played at one of the
Algarve's most picturesque and exciting courses - Boavista.
This course is well-contoured, offers wonderful views across Lagos Bay and the beautiful
Monchique Mountains and contains a good variety of holes set amongst some stunning
water features.
The signature hole is the par 3, sixth, which crosses a ravine onto a spectacular
green. The entire course will provide a superb golf experience.
On Tuesday...
Both the Individual and 4-Ball Team competitions are played at Palmares. This course,
set on gentle hills that roll down to the ocean, includes five unique "Links" holes
on the front nine. Palmares is acknowledged to be one of the most scenic courses
on the Algarve and has long been a favourite with British and Irish players.
On Wednesday...
A day at leisure will allow you time to relax by the pool or explore the picturesque
villages and enchanting scenery of the surrounding region. Extra golf can be arranged
for those who don't want to miss a moment on the fairways.
On Thursday...
There's a 4-Ball Betterball competition which is staged at the Morgado Golf Club.This
course opened in 2003, and offers a stunning design with small, undulating valleys.
The course's main characteristic are its large greens and wide fairways which encourage
low scoring.
On Friday...
It's back to Boavista to play for the Algarve Select Trophy before returning to
Jardim Do Vau for the Prize Giving Dinner.
Saturday is a day to be enjoyed at leisure before flying home on Sunday.
